This 1931 Ford 5 Window Coupe is flat out awesome! The car features
an all steel Henry body and is built on a 1932 frame that has been
properly channeled, boxed and fortified. The car was built in 2014
/ 15 and every square inch was carefully planned and thoughtfully
executed to the highest standard. Power comes from a built 255 CID
Mercury Flathead V8 topped with authentic Offenhauser aluminum
heads and fed by dual carbs affixed to an Offenhauser aluminum
intake manifold. The engine was professionally prepared by Flathead
Jack of Walnut Creek, CA "Home of the Worlds Fastests Flatheads".
Power is transferred to the 9 inch rear end by a Tremec 5 Speed
manual transmission.
The car is finished in gorgeous Black exterior paint over burgundy
leather interior. Highlights include custom fabricated louvered
hood and rear deck lid, chromed front end and steering components,
Gemmon Steering box, Fenton Headers to dual exhaust, Custom Cragar
wheels, custom aluminum battery box, sealed beam headlights, 32
Brookville Grill Shell and Grill, etc.
The performance of this car is amazing and the presentation is
absolutely stunning. A classic build that was masterfully executed
in a way these cars were built in the 50's with touches of modern
componentry. The car is fully documented with a large organized
binder of receipts and records that cover nearly every aspect of
the build.
In a day where fiberglass kits and crate engines have saturated the
Street Rod arena, original steel body cars stand out as truly
special. This car runs and drives fantastic and is a piece of
rolling artwork. It has been driven over 3000 miles since the
completion of the build and is fully sorted. It received the best
of everything and can not be duplicated for twice the price offered
here.
