The Nissan S30 was produced and sold in Japan under the name Nissan
Fairlady Z. As with many exports these same cars would be rebadged
so in America these are called the Datsun 280Z. These 2 seat sports
cars were produced from 1969 to 1978. They were conceived by the
President of the Nissan Motor Corporation USA and designed by the
head of Nissan's Sports Car Styling Studio. They are often referred
to as Japan's "halo car" as it broadened the acceptance of the
Japanese car into other markets. This 1977 280Z is in excellent
condition and is all stock. The body is all solid and rust free. It
is painted in its original light Blue that has a nice finish. It
wears its original chrome bumpers which are in great shape and have
a nice shine. The glass is all good with no issues and it comes
with the rear window louvers. The car rides on its original 14 inch
stock wheels with hubcaps and Michelin 195/70R14 tires.
Turning those tires is the original 2.8L inline 6 motor that runs
great. It doesn't smoke or have any issues. One unique thing about
the car is it was ordered with a factory 5 speed transmission which
was pretty uncommon. The transmission shifts smoothly with no
issues and the car runs down the road well. The brake and
suspension set up are all stock but all performing properly. The AC
system has been modified for R-134a which is a nice upgrade and it
blows cold.
The interior is all Black and the high back bucket seats have been
reupholstered and look great. Everything is the stock original
layout and everything works. Open the hatchback to reveal plenty of
storage space and belts to hold down any cargo.
This cool classic comes with some extras like the louvers,
additional parts, a repair manual and more.
It could be yours for $27,150.00!
