It's always great to come across a classic that fully embodies the
visual appeal of a tastefully modded muscle car. This 1967
Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute certainly does that. Sporting magnetic
orange paint that's accented with white striping, this car
absolutely demands attention. Its cowl hood amplifies its
appearance and, if you look a little closer, you'll see that the
pair of broad stripes running across its length are no mere decals
but are actually painted on. Up front, the black grille really pops
against the surrounding orange of the exterior, and the chrome
bumpers at both ends present nicely. Check out this Chevy's
aggressive but tasteful stance! It's accentuated by a set of
staggered U.S. Mag wheels, with 19" wheels in front and 20" wheels
in back.
There's a lot to like inside the doors. A pair of aftermarket
vinyl-clad bucket seats has been added, providing a combination of
comfort and support that will come in handy for frequent driving.
Between them is a center console that houses the B&M shifter
used to put this eye-catching ride through its paces, while also
offering some welcome interior storage space. Beyond the woodgrain
steering wheel with a signature Super Sport badging at its center,
the dash area is in fine shape. It features a center section that's
been repainted to match the exterior of the car and houses an AM/FM
stereo with both an auxiliary port and Bluetooth connectivity. A
trio of aftermarket gauges is just below to keep tabs on vital
motoring functions.
Raise the cowl hood and you'll find a stroked 383 cubic-inch engine
lurking at the center of the engine bay. Equipped with FiTech
fuel-injection and an Edelbrock intake, it's a potent powerplant,
and it pairs with a 4-speed automatic 700R4 transmission with an
overdrive gear, so the lucky owner of this Chevy will get both
strong performance and low-rev highway cruising. Tap down on the
accelerator, and the combination of long tube headers and Street
Flow mufflers provides a nice, deep exhaust note. Electric power
steering provides low-effort navigation for this classic, while
4-wheel power brakes that feature front discs with slotted and
drilled rotors provide all the fade-resistant stopping ability you
could want.
