With just 39,228 ORIGINAL MILES! This mid size sedan from good ol AMC was purchased new by Marjorie Valentine at E.P. Fournier Co. in Pawtucket RI and remained in her and her families possession until just a year or so ago! Incredibly well preserved. Original paint, interior and powertrain! A true survivor! It's so dorky it's cool. I just love this one. You can't help but smile when you see and drive it. There is nothing like and original, unrestored car. Nothing. It's literally like stepping back in time.
Equipped with the optional 290 V8, power steering and power brakes too. Original AM pushbutton radio and an oh so cool, period correct 8-track player. Doesn't get much better.
This car starts, runs and drives amazingly well. Like you are purchasing it used in 1970. A true time capsule. The engine was recently treated to a rebuilt carburator, tires and all four shocks. A real turn key classic!
The body is completely RUST FREE. Look at the undercarriage pictures. You could literally eat off the frame and floors. This car was very obviously never driven in the typical foul New England weather. Just amazing really.
The interior is completely original down to the carpet. The seat has some seam separation at the brocade inserts and unfortunately the most recent owner used household glue to hold an aftermarket seat cover in place. We carefully removed the cover and cleaned the seat as much as possible but it will obviously need a new aftermarket cover or even better, obtain the original materials from SMS Fabrics in Oregon. We'd do it but we don't have the time. Too many projects around the shop. We've priced this one very aggressively to compensate for this one and only downfall. This car is an amazing bargain.
