1952 Chevrolet Deluxe
Overview
The Chevrolet Deluxe was a prominent trim line of Chevrolet
automobiles, produced from 1941 to 1952. Renowned for its
popularity, the Deluxe was the leading sales model throughout the
1940s and 1950s.
Design and Features
From 1950 to 1952, the Deluxe, much like the Bel Air of the same
era, shared its front sheetmetal ahead of the A-pillar with other
Chevrolet models. However, it featured unique rooflines, rear
quarters, and rear windows. The windshield, doors, glass, and trunk
were common with ensuring some design continuity within the
lineup.
One of the most notable advancements for these years was the
introduction of the Powerglide, a two-speed automatic transmission,
which was available exclusively in the Deluxe and Bel Air models.
The car was powered by a robust 235-cubic inch six-cylinder engine,
delivering reliable performance for its time.
