1993 Porsche 911 RS America for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to
present this stunning 1993 Porsche 911 RS America, finished in
striking black over a matching black interior. The car has only
26,875 miles. The RS America represents one of Porsche's most
focused driver's cars of the 964 era. Designed as a lightweight,
performance-oriented version of the Carrera 2, the RS America was
offered exclusively for the U.S. market in very limited numbersjust
701 examples produced over two years. It channeled the spirit of
the European Carrera RS while maintaining road usability, making it
one of the most desirable 964 variants among collectors and
enthusiasts today.Equipped with its original 3.6-liter air-cooled
flat-six paired to a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox, the RS America
stripped away comfort features in favor of performance, while
offering just four factory options. This example is exceptionally
rare in that it was ordered with all four RS America options: air
conditioning, electric sunroof, a limited-slip differential, and a
premium AM/FM stereo with cassette player. The original stereo was
recently replaced with the very desirable Porsche Classic PCCM
infotainment system.Presented here with all original factory paint
preserved beneath a full-body paint protection film, the car
showcases its authenticity and careful ownership. The cabin remains
true to RS America specification, with lightweight door cards,
pull-strap openers, and fixed rear seats emphasizing the car's
performance-first ethos. This RS America has been diligently
maintained, with extensive service history documented across
multiple respected Porsche specialists. Most recently, in July,
2025, Speed Sport Tuning in Danbury, CT, performed an annual
service including an oil and filter change, wheel balancing, and an
A/C recharge. Prior to that, in May, 2024, at 26,633, the same shop
carried out a comprehensive service totaling over $6,000, which
included an oil service, brake fluid flush, high-speed wheel
balancing, and A/C system recharge. In December, 2022, at
approximately 26k miles, Formula Motorsports in New York performed
a major service including oil change with Porsche Classic motor
oil, rebuilding three gauges, road force balancing all four wheels,
a new windshield and seal, brake system flush, and a state
inspection. Earlier, in May, 2022, the same shop replaced the hood
cables, installed factory-correct insignia and stickers, and
upgraded the sound system with a Porsche Classic radio and Focal
speakers.A more extensive round of work was completed in May, 2020,
at approximately 25,000 miles, when Formula Motorsports carried out
a comprehensive engine-out mechanical refresh including new upper
and lower valve cover seals, ignition wires, spark plugs, rotors,
and distributor belt, along with replacement of the clutch and
slave cylinder, installation of new Porsche Classic RS-spec struts,
a valve adjustment, new engine belts, battery, brake system flush,
alignment, a new set of tires, refinishing of one wheel, and an
oil/filter change. This documented record of continuous upkeep, with
major servicing spanning engine, suspension, clutch, brakes, and
gauges, ensures this RS America is not only exceptionally original
but also mechanically well-prepared for its next owner. With its
original paint, full suite of desirable factory options, and
meticulous servicing, this RS America stands out as a superbly
preserved and well-sorted example of Porsche's iconic lightweight
special. A rare opportunity to acquire one of the most collectible
U.S.-market 964s, ready to be enjoyed or displayed at the highest
levels.
