While most older trucks are retired indefinitely once their
practical useful years are over, a few occasionally get to
experience a second life. Whether that be a fully restored stock
vehicle or something more fun, like this 1969 Chevrolet C10
Restomod, sometimes, life can be more exciting the second time
around. Fully repainted in a beautiful Butternut Yellow, this
truck's aggressive, lowered stance and big 20-inch wheels, and it's
easy to tell this pickup is ready for more than just farm
living.
Inside, we find a body-color-matched dashboard and trim, offset by
comfy houndstooth buddy-bucket-style seats, sometimes separated by
a fold-down center armrest. The seven analog gauges sitting in
front of the driver are highlighted by a big 5,000 rpm tachometer
sitting front and center, flanked by a 100 mph speedometer, a fuel
gauge, and a pair of smaller auxiliary gauges sit just below. The
upgraded Alpine stereo powers a tube-type subwoofer located behind
the passenger seat and offers a more modern entertainment
experience with a single CD deck and auxiliary input, while the
old-school-looking Vintage Air quietly provides air conditioning to
keep you cool.
Under the hood is where this truck transforms from laid-back to
aggressive. A modern 6.0-liter overhead valve V-8 looks right at
home between the fenders. With its lightweight aluminum 317 heads,
composite intake manifold, and mid-length headers, this V-8 adds a
lot more pick-up to this pickup. Power from that small block is
then sent through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission before
heading out to the 12-bolt rear end. A true dual exhaust with an
H-pipe takes spent gases from the shorty headers and sends them out
through a Dynomax exhaust to give this C10 a rumble worthy of a
true muscle truck.

This 1969 Chevrolet C10 Restomod rides on far more impressive
suspension than the one it replaces. A welded-in C-notch in the
rear, along with a plethora of Ridetech tubular components at both
the front and rear, is complemented by Fox/Ridetech coilovers at
all four corners. Power steering and power brakes featuring slotted
and cross-drilled two-piece rotors clamped down by four-piston
Wilwood calipers up front make long trips far more comfortable, as
they should be. Finally, those big 20-inch Billet Specialties
wheels are shod in BFGoodrich G-Force tires measuring 245/40R-20 up
front and wider 275/40R-20 in the rear, completing the package.
Whatever this truck's first life was used for is long gone, because
this restomod muscle truck is ready to really haul. The only thing
it's missing is an owner to enjoy the ride with it. Call today!
