Everyone loves the look of a Mustang Fastback, and this one is
ready to turn heads. The beautiful Candy Apple Red paint with black
decals and 17-inch American Racing wheels makes this 1968 Ford
Mustang S Code Fastback GT something to drool over. The stance
looks perfect, the chrome shines bright, and the side louvers are
iconic to the Mustang brand. All the body panels and the frame
underneath are very clean and solid, along with good glass, weather
stripping, and a solid trunk-this is one very nice muscle car to
cruise in and take to shows.
The interior bucket seats are custom and match the custom center
console, giving the cabin real personality. The door panels remain
more original than custom, but still pair nicely with the seats and
console. Lighted door sills add a unique touch. Phantom Autometer
gauges are fitted into the dashboard cluster and center console.
The carpets are clean with Mustang floor mats, and the headliner is
well-maintained. An aftermarket AM/FM/CD player has been installed,
along with custom rear speakers.
The engine bay is neat and stylish, featuring billet hood brackets,
a painted Monte Carlo Brace Bar, Cobra valve covers, and a Cobra
air cleaner cover. For performance, this Mustang is equipped with
an aluminum radiator, MSD ignition box, coil, and distributor,
along with Edelbrock dual 4-barrel carburetors-all working in sync
with the 390 cubic-inch engine. Power is transferred through a C6
automatic 3-speed transmission with Gear Vendors overdrive,
connected to a Ford 9-inch rear axle.
The front suspension features struts and a sway bar, while the rear
uses a leaf spring setup with air shocks. 17-inch American Racing
wheels are mounted at all four corners and wrapped in 255/40ZR17
tires. Stopping power comes from power disc brakes front and
rear-the fronts feature Brembo caliper covers, but not sure about
pads or rotors. For that signature Mustang sound, the exhaust
system features long-tube headers and dual exhaust with aftermarket
mufflers.
