INTRODUCTION: Here's an old school hot rod with the gasser look!
It's not a race car, it's a cruiser with air conditioning.
EXTERIOR: It certainly has a look! It's reminiscent of the old
school gassers where they lifted the front end to transfer the
weight to the rear tires. Seeing those headers with dumps in the
wheel well is pretty cool too. The body on this car is very
straight, clean and fits nicely. The doors just click shut. It's
painted colonial cream and has a beautiful finish, there are only
minor flaws if you look for them. Most of the chrome has been
replaced, it shines bright. All new smoked glass was installed. The
weatherstrips were replaced. It's rolling on vintage looking 15
inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wearing radial tires.
INTERIOR: The custom upholstered interior has a matching pattern on
the seats and door panels. The headliner and carpet have been
replaced too. The metal trim and dash are painted nice. It has a
great looking set of modern gauges including a tachometer. It has
heater controls, radio and clock delete. The automatic shifter on
the floor looks like a stick shift, it's actually a Locar automatic
shifter. Seat belts were added in front. A cushion grip wheel is
mounted to a tilt column.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That's a 383 stroker motor with Edelbrock
intake and carb, HEI ignition and a set of custom made headers. You
wouldn't expect to see air conditioning but this does have a modern
a/c and heat system. An upgraded aluminum radiator and big electric
fan keep the motor cool too. It's dressed up with aluminum pulleys,
chrome alternator, valve covers and air cleaner. Upgraded with a
dual reservoir master cylinder for safety.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid was painted nicely and has
new weatherstrip. Inside is solid with a gray speckle finish paint
and reproduction mat. It has a new rim and tire for a spare. The
battery has been relocated to the trunk.
UNDERSIDE: Well, let's start with the gasser front end. It has a
new frame clip, parallel leaf springs and a drop tubular axle. In
back it has leaf springs and gas shocks. The custom dual exhaust
has a crossover pipe and stainless Magnaflow mufflers. The fuel
tank has been replaced. It features disc brakes in the front.
Looking up at the motor it is clean Chevy Orange with a high torque
starter. That's a Turbo 350 automatic and the rebuilt driveshaft
goes back to 10 bolt rear end. The floors appear to be solid.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Too cool for school! Roll your cigarettes up in your
T-shirt sleeve, grease your hair and go for a cruise back in
time!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
