This 1966 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II SS is part of a rare breed. It's
not often that you come across a mid-'60s classic that leaps
forward to the present with so much vitality while still retaining
a thoroughly stock appearance both inside and out. Looking sharp
and dressed in factory-correct Ermine White and outfitted with the
proper array of Super Sport badging, this classic has benefited
from an exacting restoration that has brought its curb appeal back
to its former glory. And rest assured, its running condition is
very much on par with its aesthetics. This Chevy is ready, willing,
and able to start creating memories as soon as you bring it
home.
Glance inside and you'll see a Super Sport interior that's been
restored to high standards. Clad in blue vinyl, both the front
buckets and rear bench seat are in great shape, and the door panels
on each side appear just as fresh. The full-floor center console
comes via this Nova's upper-tier Super Sport configuration, and it
looks clean as well. There's a woodgrain steering wheel perched on
the tilt column, which also houses an aftermarket tachometer to
keep a closer eye on RPMs. This component, along with a tri-gauge
pod mounted just below the dash and a convincingly retro-looking
radio just above it, blends seamlessly with its stock
environment.
This vintage Chevy is powered by a period-correct 327 cubic-inch V8
that, judging from the sound of its rumbling idle, has been
outfitted with an upgraded performance cam that brings increased
power but isn't so drastic as to mess with the car's vacuum. Fed by
a 4-barrel carburetor perched on an Edelbrock intake manifold, the
engine is running strong as it pairs with a Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission that puts full control of its output in the hands of
the driver. It sits in a very well-detailed engine bay, surrounded
by several chrome components, and a Ron Davis aluminum radiator is
joined by a duo of electric fans up front to keep operating
temperatures under control. With featured power steering also in
the mix, this is a really fun car to drive.
