The 1966 Chevrolet C10 represents the last year of the
first-generation C/K trucks, a model that helped establish Chevy's
reputation for building stylish, durable, and highly customizable
pickups. This example has been tastefully updated with modern
reliability while retaining its classic character, making it an
excellent choice for both cruising and practical use.
Under the hood, it's powered by a 350ci V8 crate engine with only
about 2,000 miles since installation, topped with a Holley 600 CFM
4-barrel carburetor for smooth, responsive performance. The engine
is supported by an aluminum radiator with a clutch fan, along with
an HEI distributor and wires. Power is delivered through a 3-speed
column-shift manual transmission paired with a new clutch assembly
and a rear limited-slip differential. Mechanical updates also
include new rear brake drums, axles, wheel bearings, ball joints,
tie rods, and front springs, with sway bars added for improved
handling. Power steering and power front disc brakes ensure modern
drivability and confident control.
The truck has been rewired front to back with a factory-style
harness, and a new dash gauge assembly has been fitted (with the
exception of the amp gauge). The interior also benefits from a new
heater core, blower motor, and fan cage, while both door glass and
vent window assemblies have been replaced. A new gas tank and
sending unit add to its dependability. On the exterior, the truck
wears new tires and rims, and the bed has been fitted with a new
wood floor.
Cosmetically, the body is very clean and solid, providing an ideal
canvas for a fresh paint job, or it can be enjoyed as-is with its
honest patina. Whether you're seeking a weekend cruiser, a shop
truck, or a base for a custom build, this C10 is a well-sorted,
mechanically refreshed classic that's ready to go.
