987 is the internal designation for the second generation of the Porsche Boxster that made its debut at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. Even though the Boxster remained similar to the first generation of the car, the largest change was the headlights, which was an obvious thing to do. The other changes were larger wheel arches and intake vents. These boxster S cars are no slouches out on the road with a 3.2 liter mated to a 6-speed manual, these cars can do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and carry a top speed of 167 MPH. There is a lot of value here for what you get in comfort and performance. This particular stunner is finished in a super rare or at least I have never seen one Basalt Black over a Terracotta interior. It has traveled just over 44, 000 miles in twenty years and has had the IMS fix performed as indicated by a sticker in the door jam. The car has been driven and enjoyed but still shows extremely well. The interior is in very good condition, the paint still shines nicely with some stone chips in the front end as to be expected. The car starts right up, idles perfectly and goes down the road as it should. This car comes with both factory keys/fobs, original owners manual and window sticker. This is an excellent value for someone looking to get in to a real nice touring car. The power top works as it should as does everything else including climate control.
