Ultra rare! This 1941 Buick Roadmaster Phaeton (technically, a "Convertible Sedan" with windows in the doors), lived in sunny southern California most of its life. It received a full restoration and many recent upgrades that make it certainly one of the finest available today. This was the last model year for this 4-door convertible style, and just 312 were built by Buick, with few surviving today, especially in this condition.
The body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in correct green color with a mirror-finish. All chrome and trim was re-plated to show-level. The parchment leather interior is gorgeous, with matching wool carpeting. Correct tan Haartz cloth convertible top with matching boot. All gauges were rebuilt and register accurately. Steering wheel was restored, as was all of the machined dashboard trim. Undercarriage is cleaned and detailed. A lovely package.
The 320 cubic inch OHV straight 8 engine was fully rebuilt and detailed. Starts easily, runs smoothly and quietly with 165 horsepower and dual compound carbueration making it a car very capable of running at modern freeway speeds in style. Runs cool in all climates with re-cored radiator. 3-speed manual transmission shifts crisply. Brakes stop smooth and straight.
