This 1953 Ford Crestline Victoria was the top of the line for 1953. The stylish hardtop design gave it the look of a convertible with the practicality of a fixed roof. The 1953 model was also notable for marking the final year for Ford's famous 239 cubic inch Flathead V8 engine. The Crestline Victoria showcased 1950s American design with clean lines, prominent chrome accents, a wraparound windshield, and a curved rear window. A wide grille wrapped around the front corners of the car, with bright trim running the length of the body. The engine is the legendary Flathead V8, with 239 cubic inches, at 110 horsepower and 196 pound-feet of torque.
This car was restored a while back, refinished in Timberline green metallic, with excellent 2 tone vinyl interior. The Flathead V-8 runs great, plenty of power, and runs cool even on a hot California day in city traffic. The working factory overdrive makes keeping up on the freeway a breeze! The tires are radial whitewalls. The car looks extremely solid underneath, with no rust evident. The trunk is nicely finished with factory rubber mat and clean sheetmetal, along with spare & jack. It has been stored in a collection indoors in southern California, and has done 4,800 miles in the last 11 years. It’s a very pleasant car to drive, with good power, freeway capability, and good handling. The only modification is a pair of duals and glasspack mufflers for that great exhaust tone!
