1949 Rocket 88 Woody Wagon. This is the last year of the wood paneled wagons and the first year of the Rocket V8 Engine. My research shows 590 were created with the real wood and V8 engine, and this is one of only seven remaining.
I am selling this car as part of my father's estate. This was a Texas car until August of 2025, at which point I had it trailered here to facilitate a sale.
Mileage shows 09700, but has almost certainly turned over.
My Dad had a yachtbuidler professionally redo most of the wood paneling and redid the interior professionally with Rolls Royce Carpet. All of the original tools are included.
The body and wood work is amazing and requires no work. Cosmetically it is near perfect with no rust. There are some spots where the chrome bumpers need to be touched up, but they too are in excellent shape for a 76 year old woody wagon.
The motor is original and aftermarket air conditioning has been added at some point in its life.
Front Driver door mechanical hardware needs adjusting to get the door to completely close, but other than that, I cannot find any mechanical faults with it.
The interior overhead light is missing its cover.
It starts, runs, and brakes fine.
The car is in Papillion. I will not ship it unless we meet face to face, I know you through references, or we establish a trusting relationship over the phone.
