1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Official Pace Car For SaleThis 1993
Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is more than just one of 645 official Indy 500
Pace Cars produced - it's Pace Car #20, with a fully documented and
remarkable history. The day before the 77th Indianapolis 500, it
carried Festival Princess Amy Freeman and race winner Emerson
Fittipaldi in the 500 Festival Parade, with photos and Fittipaldi's
autograph included. Accompanying the car is a binder of original
paperwork and documentation, including the civic event license
plate assigned for parade use, its application through the Indiana
Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the original certificate of origin and
dealership sales paperwork, and title records tracing ownership
from new through its second owner in 1997, its third owner purchase
at the 2000 Atlantic City Classic Car Auction (with photos
included), and its final 2017 transfer.Although the wheels and
tires were swapped out at one point, the car today retains its
original set, preserving authenticity.Mechanically, this Z28
features the factory Indy 500 graphics package, a sport cloth
interior with bucket seats, and T-tops with locking storage for the
panels. Power comes from the 5.7L LT1 V8 - same as the one from the
C4 Corvette - paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and 2.73
rear gears. The LT1 was a major step forward in GM's small-block
development, featuring reverse-flow cooling and multi-port fuel
injection, and its selection as the pace car engine underscored
GM's confidence in the fourth-gen Camaro. Amenities include the
premium Delco-Bose sound system, cold-blowing A/C, and just 23,000
miles from new. With its originality, rare production (fewer than
650 built), and extraordinary provenance connecting it directly to
the 1993 Indy 500 and its champion, this Camaro Pace Car is an
outstanding collector's piece - like new, thoroughly documented,
and historically significant.See the "videos" tab above this
description box for a cold start and walk around. Please
