This is one very big 1941 Ford Super Deluxe that would make a great
cruiser for someone who is into these older antiques. The green
exterior paint is unique and holds up well on such large body
panels. The curves are elegant, the chrome moldings and bumpers
break up the expanse of green, and the big whitewall tires with
painted green wheels and chrome center caps add a lot of character
to a vehicle that could otherwise feel plain. The body panels are
solid, the undercarriage is in good shape, and the windows are free
of any major damage.
The tan interior shows character. It's not perfect, but it does
appear to be mostly stock, which gives it its charm. The front and
rear bench seats look quite comfortable, and the door panels seem
to be holding their own. The steering wheel looks original and is
attached to a three-on-the-tree column-shifting setup. The
woodgrain dashboard surrounds a yellow inlay that stretches across
the dash, housing the gauge cluster and clock-pieces that are also
believed to be original. At the bottom of the dashboard are knobs
for heat controls and other functions of the Super Deluxe Ford. The
trunk has plenty of room for cargo and includes a matching spare
tire for emergencies.
Under the hood sits a small but mighty 239 Flathead V8 engine
paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, sending power to a
factory-style rear axle. The front suspension uses a factory I-beam
setup, while the rear features a transverse leaf spring design. The
15-inch painted green wheels with chrome center caps are wrapped in
205/75R16 whitewall tires. Behind those sit drum brakes for
stopping power. Exhaust duties are handled by stock-style
manifolds, a dual exhaust that merges into a single pipe, and runs
through a custom muffler.
