When it comes to fun cars to drive, this low-mileage (9,891) 1994
Shelby Cobra Everett-Morrison takes the cake. Its roadster
convertible body style, with its short chassis, makes it feel like
you could take any hairpin turn at any speed you want. The Bright
Blue Metallic paint with ghost racing stripes turns this Shelby
into something that's hard to miss. The super loud side exhaust
with no baffles will get any car guy to take notice-and every one
of your neighbors to hate you. All the chrome, including the roll
bar, shines extremely bright, and all of the body lines and gaps
are consistent. Both the doors, hood, and trunk shut the way they
should, proving this vehicle was put together correctly.
The interior is quite quaint, with very well-kept black bucket
seats and door cards. A nice Cobra steering wheel with a wood rim
gives this interior a little spunk. The Stewart-Warner gauges are
all in good condition, along with the carpeted center console and
stick shift. There is a nice locking glove box and door panel
pockets for personal items, and in the trunk, there is some
carpeted cargo space available.
Sandwiched under the hood is a 410 cubic-inch engine with Victory
Jr. heads and an Edelbrock Pro-Flow fuel injection system. Other
under-the-hood performance upgrades include an MSD ignition system,
a CVF serpentine belt system, and an aluminum radiator with an
electric fan. The connected transmission is a Richmond manual
5-speed that runs power to a 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.50 rear
gears. All this sits on a front C4 Corvette independent suspension
featuring shocks and a sway bar, while the rear features adjustable
coilovers. 15-inch Compomotive wheels are mounted at all four
corners and are wrapped in P245/60R15 front tires and P295/50R15
rear tires. To ensure consistent stopping, disc brakes are applied
at all four corners. And for a true roadster sound, long tube
headers and side pipes with muffler delete go to work.
