Here is a nice 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute that is easy to
fall in love with. It has a crisp white exterior paint job, black
hockey stick stripes, black wheels, black grille, black chin
spoiler, and black interior. The chrome front bumper sets off the
front end perfectly, while the rear bumper pairs cleanly with the
rear taillight blackout panel. Adding to the Camaro's looks are the
side quarter-panel vents, tailpipes that stick out just enough, the
rear spoiler, and the cowl induction hood.
The interior comes off as unrestored yet original-looking with a
lot of woodgrain veneer inlays. The center console is in good shape
and is home to a fan-favorite staple shifter. The door panels,
carpet, and headliner are all in good condition, and the dashboard
looks sharp as well. The gauge cluster shows some age, yet remains
very visible. In front of the cluster sits a stock-looking SS
steering wheel. For entertainment, there's a RestoSounds AM/FM
radio, and to the left of that is the original climate control
cluster. Out back, the trunk looks solid, clean, and ready for
cargo.
Under the hood looks impressive with its chrome master cylinder,
alternator cover, valve covers, and 396 air cleaner cover. The
aluminum radiator feeds coolant to the 454 cubic-inch big block,
while an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel 1406 carburetor handle fuel
distribution. A rebuilt TH350 3-speed automatic transmission
manages power delivery. The front suspension features A-arms with
coil springs and shocks, while the rear uses leaf springs with
shocks. At all four corners sit 15-inch American Racing wheels
wrapped in 215/75R15 front tires and 275/70R15 rear tires. Stopping
power comes from front power disc brakes and rear power drum
brakes. And Hooker long-tube headers flow through a dual exhaust
system with Flowmaster mufflers.
