The second generation of Chevy's Corvette has quietly been gaining
popularity among collectors over the last several years. One look
at this 1972 Chevrolet Corvette LT1 383 and it's easy to see why.
Fully repainted in a shimmering silver, this C2 features a useful
rear luggage rack, complementing its signature T-Tops and sinewy
Coke-bottle shape.
Inside, we find a stock and correct appearing black leather
interior. A center console separates a pair of bucket seats, while
a three-spoke, power-assisted steering wheel sits ahead of a large
160 mph speedometer and 7,000 rpm tachometer. A quintet of
auxiliary gauges sits above a retro-styled AM/FM/AUX/Bluetooth head
unit, while simple wheel-controlled HVAC controls and a shift
pattern diagram sit near the well-placed shifter.
Although it came from the factory with an LT1, this Corvette
benefits from an even more potent 383 cubic-inch BluePrint Engines
stroker crate V-8 engine. This potent small block comes with
lightweight aluminum heads, a mild performance cam, and a single
Holley four-barrel carburetor. A true dual exhaust system feeds
into a set of sweet-sounding FlowMaster mufflers, and with
approximately 300 miles on it since installation, this engine has
barely been broken in. Power is routed through a tried-and-true
four-speed manual transmission, also with approximately 300 miles
on its newly installed clutch.

with power disc brakes hiding behind at all four corners, ready to
scrub off speed whenever called upon. This well-done C2 is a prime
