Who hasn't ever wanted to own a muscle car like this, especially if
you're a Mopar guy? Let's face it, 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR Tributes
don't come along too often, and true Cuda AARs rarely ever do. But
here you have one that has been restored with meticulous detail and
comes with a photo book of the rotisserie restoration. This means
no hidden surprises-just a real-deal tribute Cuda with an almost
flawless Vitamin C Orange and Matte Black paint job. Looking at
this car and listening to it run should bring shivers up your
spine. Black louvers on the rear window, side-exit exhaust,
period-correct wheels with beauty stripes-this baby has it all.
The interior is mostly black with vinyl bucket seats in the front
and back. The carpet, door panels, headliner, and dashboard all
look fantastic. The center console is sharp with the pistol-grip
shifter surrounded by a period-correct woodgrain inlay. The
dashboard gauge cluster has been redone to stock with woodgrain
inlays and extremely clear and easy-to-read gauges. On one side of
the steering console, there are the heat and A/C controls, and on
the other are the stock-appearing radio controls. The weather
stripping and windows look great, and so do the door jambs and
sills. Inside the trunk, you'll find it painted the same color as
the exterior and spotless.
Under the hood should send you into a whole other world of
happiness. Although the engine looks very stock, you're looking at
an inconspicuous 406 Stroker V8. A Six-Pack carburetor setup is
installed on top of the intake for consistent fuel delivery. Mated
to the engine is a T5 5-speed manual transmission with a
Centerforce performance clutch, which runs back to an 8 rear
axle.
The front suspension relies on A-arms with shocks for handling,
while the rear uses a leaf spring setup with shocks. The 15-inch
Rallye wheels with beauty rings are classic on these Mopars, and
the 235/60R15 front and 275/60R15 rear tires give this Cuda the
perfect stance. Power front disc brakes and power rear drum brakes
handle the stopping duties, while the exhaust note roars through
shorty manifolds, dual exhaust, aftermarket mufflers, and side-exit
exhaust pipes.
