This 1949 Ford F-1 Restomod has all the works. If you're looking
for something that needs nothing to compete as a hot rod, restomod,
or custom show vehicle winner, this is your truck. The Dark Cherry
paint sets it apart, pairing beautifully with the chrome bumpers
and trim. Thanks to the custom suspension and staggered 18- and
20-inch wheels, it sits just right. The wooden plank truck bed
looks unused and gorgeous, while the underbody is absolutely solid
and clean. LED headlights brighten the road ahead, shaved door
handles continue the restomod experience, and solid running boards
ensure safe entry and exit.
Exterior excellence flows into interior perfection. Between the
looks and the upgraded technology, this truck will make you forget
you're in a 1949 F-1 pickup. The tan leather seats, door panels,
and headliner are in great shape. The bench seat hosts an attached
center console that doubles as both an armrest and a cupholder. The
carpets look immaculate, complemented by an easy-to-reach Lokar
floor shifter. A custom wood-grain steering wheel sits in front of
a modernized dashboard, painted Dark Cherry to match the exterior.
An aftermarket gauge cluster blends seamlessly with the interior
vibe. A Kenwood touchscreen with AM/FM/AUX, Bluetooth, and
CarPlay/Android Auto capability pairs with Morel HiFi speakers.
Vintage Air controls manage the climate system, while power windows
add to everyday convenience.
The engine bay is tidy and houses a strong 302 cubic-inch V8 with a
mild performance cam, ATK aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer
intake, Quick Fuel carburetor, and MSD ignition. Cooling is handled
by a Be Cool aluminum radiator and electric fans. Aluminum valve
covers and air cleaner lid add a touch of style. Power is sent
through a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive to a
10-bolt rear end.
The suspension setup is fully custom, featuring tubular A-arms with
QA1 adjustable coilovers up front and QA1 adjustable coilovers in
the rear. The truck rolls on Gun Metal Gray U.S. Mags-18-inch
wheels up front and 20-inch in the back-wrapped in Nitto 245/45ZR18
front tires and massive 315/35ZR20 rears. Stopping consistency
comes from power disc brakes on all four corners. A custom exhaust
system with shorty headers, electric cutouts, dual pipes, and Borla
mufflers provides the right custom truck sound.
