This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refurbished in 2022
according to the seller, who acquired it that year. The body was
refinished in black, and the interior was re-trimmed with black
vinyl upholstery. Power is provided by a rebuilt 327ci V8 linked to
a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential,
and an aluminum radiator is installed along with an electric
cooling fan and coated exhaust headers. The front of the body has
been modified with shaved headlight doors and an aftermarket grille
with LED headlamps, and each wheel-arch flare has been extended.
The car is also equipped with a white soft top and a white
removable hardtop as well as a Custom Autosound radio, a tilting
steering column, a dual exhaust system, and 15? Rally wheels. This
modified C2 convertible is now offered with its removed hood and a
car cover.
The fiberglass body was originally finished in blue and was
refinished in black in 2022, according to the previous owner. The
wheel arches were flared, front bumpers were removed, the headlight
doors were shaved, and an aftermarket grille with LED headlamps
were added along with silver stripes on the right-front fender.
Additional features include a white removable hardtop and a white
convertible soft top as well as quad tail lamps, chrome rear
bumpers, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.
A 1964-specification hood is installed, and the removed 1963 hood
will accompany the car.
Silver-finished 15" Rally wheels are mounted with 215/60 Kelly
Charger tires. The C2 features fully independent suspension, with
upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup
with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled
four-wheel drums. The seller notes the steering gear box was
replaced under current ownership, and aftermarket parking brake
cables were installed.
The re-trimmed cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black
vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets.
Amenities include a tilting steering column, a Custom Autosound
digital radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The previous owner notes the replacement 327ci V8 was rebuilt in
2022, and it features a four-barrel carburetor and finned valve
covers. An aluminum radiator is accompanied by an electric fan, and
coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system.
