This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was first delivered to
Allen Chevrolet of Forest Park, Illinois, and is said to have spent
time in Minnesota, Arizona, Georgia, and New York before the most
recent owner kept it and drove it in CA. It is finished in red over
black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a
four-speed manual transmission. Features include a Positraction
differential, a removable hardtop, a white convertible soft top,
15? Turbine-style aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a cabin
heater, an AM/FM radio, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights.

pump, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, voltage regulator,
starter, clutch fan, and coolant and heater hoses as well as

and is said to have been refinished in the 1980s. Features include
a removable hardtop, a white convertible soft top, flip-up
headlights, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, and a retractable
antenna. The windshield was replaced under previous ownership. The
15? Turbine-style aluminum wheels feature knock-off spinners and

C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension,
with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link
setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled
by four-wheel discs, and the brake master cylinder was replaced and
the front calipers were rebuilt under current ownership. The
parking brake cable and shoes were also replaced. Additional work
included the replacement of the lower ball joints and a rebuild of
the steering box.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl, and
the seat covers and carpets are said to have been replaced under
previous ownership. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an
analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a
replacement tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level,
amperage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit
odometer shows 66k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of
torque. Work under previous ownership included a rebuild of the
carburetor, the installation of aluminum valve covers, and the
replacement of the fuel pump, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor,
voltage regulator, starter, and coolant and heater hoses.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual
transmission and an optional Positraction differential. The clutch
