This JDM right-hand-drive 1998 Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution is one
of approximately 2,700 examples produced to homologate Mitsubishi's
entry into the Paris-Dakar Rally. Developed specifically for
competition, the Evolution variant received widened bodywork, a
revised suspension, Recaro bucket seats and unique exterior
styling. Power comes from a 3.5-liter 6G74 V6 engine with MIVEC
variable valve timing, factory-rated at 276hp and 256 ft/lbs of
torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed automatic
transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a locking center
differential, and front and rear limited-slip differentials.
Modifications include an ARC air intake and a GReddy coolant
temperature sensor. This example was imported to the United States
in 2024 after being acquired by the seller. Originally finished in
W09 Sophia White, the truck was refinished in white under prior
ownership and fitted with Ralliart-style graphics. This vehicle
rides on 18-inch Weds Keeler wheels mounted with Dunlop Winter Maxx
tires and has four-wheel anti-lock discs with red-painted calipers.
The interior is equipped with a wood and leather Momo steering
wheel, Recaro front sport seats and a split-folding rear bench
seat. It also features automatic climate control, power windows and
locks, a Hornet alarm system, and a Kenwood CD stereo paired with
Panasonic and Carrozzeria speakers. A Kenwood subwoofer is mounted
overhead. Defi auxiliary gauges are affixed to the A-pillar. There
is a roof-mounted storage rack with ladder access. The factory tool
kit is included. The left mirror does not fold and there is a paint
crack on the left side step. 130,990 km (81,383 miles; mileage not
indicated on title). ** PREVIEW
