This 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 convertible is powered by a 455ci
Rocket V8 engine conservatively rated at 370hp and 500 ft/lbs of
torque, paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic
transmission and an optional 3.91 posi-traction axle ratio.
Benefiting from a full ground-up restoration, it is finished in
Porcelain White with gold W-30 stripes, a repaint from its original
tan exterior, and retains its 12-bolt rear axle with date-correct
components. One of only 3,100 1970 442 W-30 cars built, and one of
just 264 W-30 convertibles built that year, this example is
documented through the GM Heritage Center. It is equipped with
factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes with front
discs, power windows, power locks, a remote trunk release and a
power-operated convertible top. The Saddle interior includes bucket
seats, a center console, tilt steering wheel, Rally steering wheel,
Rally mirrors, rear deck spoiler and the Convenience Light Group.
Additional features include the original Delco AM/FM stereo with
8-track player, Speed Minder speedometer, Tic-Toc-Tach Rally pack
and Rally wheels with Firestone white-letter tires. It is also
fitted with the rare Night Watch headlight delay system. ** PREVIEW
