1990 Chevrolet C1500 454 SS
This 1990 Chevrolet C1500 454 SS is a factory muscle truck that's
been transformed into something far more serious. Under the hood,
the original big block has been replaced with a Skip White
Performance 555 V8, topped with an Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI intake and
a Comp Cams camshaft. It's dyno-tuned to a documented 675
horsepower, breathing through a Hughes Performance 3000 stall
converter and sending power through a TH400 transmission to an
Eaton locking 14-bolt rear.
The chassis has been upgraded to match the power, featuring a full
Ridetech coilover suspension with a rear wishbone setup, 2-inch
drop spindles, and upper and lower StrongArms. Pro Performance
brakes with drilled and slotted rotors - 14 inches up front and 13
inches in the rear - provide confident stopping power. A 3.5-inch
Denny's driveshaft handles the torque, while 20-inch Detroit Steel
Delray wheels give it a proper stance.
Inside, it's fresh from top to bottom: new red upholstery, new
carpet, and new door cards create a striking contrast to the black
exterior. The front bumper hides a 30-inch LED light bar, ready for
late-night cruises. On the outside, the truck's black finish gives
it a no-nonsense, old-school muscle truck presence - exactly the
kind of look that keeps people guessing until they hear it fire
up.
This isn't just a preserved 454 SS - it's a purpose-built street
machine with the horsepower, suspension, and braking to back up its
legend.
