This 1988 Ford Mustang GT is a well-preserved, two-owner car with
just 7,000 miles. The second owner cared for it over the past
decade, investing time and effort into ensuring it's both
mechanically sound and true to period-correct style. During their
ownership, they carefully preserved the day 2 modifications that
were installed when purchased along with improving the reliability
of this 1980's hot rod. All fluids were changed during their
ownership and the oil and correct Motorcraft filter was changed on
a yearly basis. All maintenance records for the vehicle have been
noted and recorded for the last 10 years.
The car features a range of well-chosen upgrades, including early
Ford Racing shorty headers, a BBK X-pipe and Dynomax Ultra-Flow
Stainless Cat back, which lets you hear that classic Mustang sound.
The drivetrain is equipped with period correct 3.27 gears and a 31
spline rear axle. Stopping power is enhanced by rear disc brakes
and SVO rear calipers with a working parking brake. The correct
master cylinder and Ford Racing proportioning valve was added to
accommodate this upgrade. A Pro-5.0 shifter delivers improved shift
feel while preserving a factory look. It rides on a set of factory
Ford pony wheels, and the original Turbine wheels and tires are
still available! Along with this, the factory Ford H-pipe is also
available.
The seller took great care to fix issues, perform tasteful
period-style upgrades, and maintain originality where possible.
This Mustang stands out as a true survivor with a thoughtful blend
of preservation and performance.
