INTRODUCTION: An American supercar with only 6,900 documented
miles! # 432 out of just 448 ZR1s made total in 1995. This is also
the last of the ZR1s until 2009. The base Corvette cost $36,785 and
the ZR1 package added a whopping $31,285 on top of that! ZR1 was a
complete supercar package that included a wider rear body, high
output engine, 6-speed manual trans, selective ride and handling,
electronic climate control, a solar windshield, sport seats and
more.
EXTERIOR: This is one of only 140 that were red! The body is in
excellent condition with a no hit, clean Carfax. There's no damage,
cracking or issues that I could find. The rubber bumpers are
excellent too. As I mentioned earlier these have a wider rear body
including the doors, rear 1/4s and bumper. The paint is practically
flawless. I went around the car twice and all I saw was a smooth,
gloss red finish. The weatherstrips and seals are still soft. The
ZR1 also includes a unique solar tinted windshield. It includes
both tops: a blue tinted see through and a red painted top. Unique
ZR1 five spoke alloy 17 inch wheels are 9 1/2 inches wide in front
and 11 inches wide in back. The tires have been replaced and it's
wearing new Nitto performance tires in back.
INTERIOR: This is one of only 66 red ZR1s with a black interior! It
is in excellent, unabused condition. It has the typical accessories
like power accessories, tilt wheel, cruise control etc. It also has
Sport seats with multiple power adjustments to hold your body in
place as you carve the highway corners! It has electronic climate
controls, Bose CD and cassette stereo. The ZR1s also come with the
3 mode selective handling knob on the console and a valet key which
cuts the performance if somebody other than yourself were to drive
the car.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Lotus built the high performance aluminum 5.7
Liter with 32 valves, 4 overhead cams, sequential port fuel
injection, and computer control timing. This one has the rare late
production Dunn heads. It has been given the desirable upgrades:
the throttle body was increased from 33 to 36mm, it has stainless
headers and the hp robbing smog equipment has been removed.
Original components are included with the car. It's a very clean
and proper looking engine compartment.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The hatch window opens by the key fob. Inside is
secure storage for the removable top along with storage space. It
is carpeted and in excellent shape.
UNDERSIDE: It features the aluminum intensive chassis and the ZR1
is specifically tuned and has a broader stance. Features include
aluminum control arms, Bilstein gas shocks, 5 link rear suspension.
The ZR1 also includes the Selective Ride and Handling package which
includes three mode ride control for adjusting the suspension to
different conditions. This one is upgraded with a fat BNB stainless
exhaust with x-pipe, polished mufflers and tips. The ZR1s also got
the J55 heavy duty brake system with larger discs along with the
Bosch anti lock system. Looking up at the motor it has an aluminum
oil pan. They all came with the ZF 6-speed manual trans known for
robust and smooth shifting. In back it has sporty 4.11 gears.
Overall it is very clean, it has not been driven in the rain. The
fiberglass floors are in excellent shape with the factory red
overspray on them.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This car is truly in exceptional shape throughout, it
really is! It also comes with the original components that were
removed including the exhaust and exhaust manifolds. This is a rare
and desirable car that has a significant chapter in the Corvette
history book. This is one of the best examples that exist!
