Here is a truly cool-looking 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 muscle car. The
Cranberry Red Metallic paint job pairs perfectly with the white
interior. It has an awesome stance on a set of classic Cragar
Wheels. The chrome front and rear bumper connect well with the rest
of the chrome tidbits. The big front grille looks in good shape and
locks in great with the 427-style ram air hood. The trunk is custom
and amazingly clean with white vinyl padding surrounding the
burgundy/red carpet floor. All things considered, this is a
straight and solid cruiser for nice days and weekend fun.
The interior is very customized and in very good shape. The white
vinyl seats and door panels look graceful against the secondary
burgundy/red color. The carpets are clean and protected by floor
mats. The headliner and dash pad look in real good shape, while the
custom Ford woodgrain steering wheel brings that much more
character to the interior. The gauges and the gauge cluster appear
to be original and easy to see. There are three more aftermarket
Summit gauges mounted under the dashboard to help the driver keep
an eye on things. For audio entertainment, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD
stereo is installed, while heat, defrost, and A/C controls are
right below that.
The engine bay looks quite organized. It's stuffed with all kinds
of goodies like MSD ignition, aluminum radiator, an Optimal red top
battery, and Cobra valve and air cleaner covers. The heart of this
bad boy is a 428 cubic-inch V8 engine. Helping this engine reach
its potential are Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads, a performance
intake, and an MSD fuel injection. A 3-speed automatic transmission
sends power back to a 9-inch Ford rear-end. For suspension, the
Fairlane uses coil springs with shocks in the front, and the rear
gets traction bars with leaf springs and shocks. 15-inch Cragar
wheels are planted at all four corners and are wrapped in 215/65R15
front tires and 235/60R15 rear tires. Taking on stopping duties are
front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, while dual exhaust and
aftermarket mufflers take care of that muscle car sound.
