INTRODUCTION: What a sweetheart! This Corvette is so detailed and
dialed in. It's a gentleman's Corvette being loaded with options.
It is so easy and comfortable to drive. #s match, factory colors.
NCRS shipping report, sold new at Harry Rose Chevy in Hanford CA.
It lived in California and Arizona most of its life.
EXTERIOR: This is a factory Rally Red car, little red Corvette!
It's an older paint job, although it is polished so smooth and
glossy when you stand next to the car it looks amazing. When you
inspect the car there are a few touch-ups. Claimed to be a no hit
body and it is in excellent condition. There is no damage, body
work or cracking that I could find. The fiberglass is straight, all
the panels fit precisely, the doors click shut like new, the
headlights open and close properly. The chrome and trim is shiny
and straight. The correct power antenna works, it has optional
reverse lights too. The glass is exceptionally nice and
weatherstrips were replaced. It has reproduction white striped
tires wrapped around a set of beautiful knock off wheels.
INTERIOR: It is immaculate throughout! You will be cruising in
comfort with all of these options. On the warm days enjoy the cold
factory air conditioning while listening to your favorite tunes on
the original Am-Fm radio. You won't get worn out cranking the
windows because they are power. The telescopic steering column is a
rarity, I just found one on eBay for $5,000. Everything functions:
gauges, clock, interior lights, power antenna etc. I could describe
each piece but like I said it is practically like brand new from
carpet to headliner and everything in between. The correct jack and
lead hammer for for the knock offs is located in the rear storage
compartment.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is detailed to factory condition including
the original #s matching 327-300 hp motor. It has stock manifolds,
valve covers, dual snorkel air cleaner, upper and lower ignition
shielding, carburetor including the fuel line and filter. It
features optional power steering, power brakes and air conditioning
system restored to original. The cooling system is correct from the
reproduction hoses and clamps to the properly dated radiator and
expansion tank. All of the components are clean and proper and all
the finishes are tidy.
UNDERSIDE: Wow the underside of this car looks like the day it was
sitting brand new in the showroom. It has just been meticulously
restored and detailed. It has front and back independent suspension
which has been completely restored. The steering has been
completely rebuilt. This is the first year for disc brakes at all
four wheels and that whole system has been redone, brake lines
replaced and e-brake assembly is hooked up. It has factory type
dual exhaust with the chrome slash cut tips going through the
valance. Looking up at the motor it is spotless Chevy Orange, has
correct starter and canister type oil filter. It has its correct
1965 powerglide transmission and a rebuilt drive shaft goes back to
a correct rear end with 3.36 posi gears. The raw fiberglass floors
are about the cleanest I've ever seen. It also has a complete spare
tire carrier. The frame and chassis components are painted a smooth
semi-gloss black. Literally right down to every last clamp and
screw it looks like new under this car.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: We bought this car from a Corvette collector that took
extreme pride in making this car the best it could be. Not only
does it look amazing but it functions the same Just touch the key
and the motor purrs, put it in drive and you're going down the road
with no effort. This is a good one, it'll be a keeper for the next
owner!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
