INTRODUCTION: 1 of 19! This is one of the rarest of all the W-30s ever made. Only 742 W-30s were made in 1972 and just 19 were post coupes. How many still exist? This one has its original #s matching 455 and is in exceptional condition. Showing 21,360 miles, whether that's original or not, it is very believable.

EXTERIOR: The Lamborghini of muscle cars with its scoops, spoilers and stripes! The body on this 442 is outstanding. It is laser straight from every angle, smooth from the rockers to the roof. Everything fits right including the hood, the doors close like new. Repainted its original Flame Orange metallic and it is polished better than it left the factory. It also features the correct W-30 stripes which are properly laid out and applied. In addition to the mint condition factory ram air hood, it also has the rear spoiler and sport mirrors. The 442 emblems are properly spaced, most are not. All of the chrome and moldings are in excellent shape including around the side window frames. The glass is very clear including the windshield which I believe is the original, this is an indicator of low miles. The jambs are painted real nice and the weatherstrips are replaced. The Super Stock II wheels are in mint condition and they are wearing reproduction Goodyear Polyglass tires.

INTERIOR: It is so well preserved and unabused! It's very functional too. The clock was rebuilt, speaker and miscellaneous bulbs replaced, even the key buzzer works. Looking at the dash it looks new, there's no cracks or wear. It has the optional rally pack gauges and the tick tock tachometer. The original radio is still in place, it even has the cigarette lighter that matches the rest of the knobs. The glove box pouch is complete with manuals and the punch card. The seats feel nice and firm, the upholstery front and back including the headrests are in excellent shape. The door panels are also looking really good. Down on the floor the carpet is in excellent shape and has correct Oldsmobile floor mats. Even the original seat belts are in mint condition. The headliner is outstanding with no wrinkles, the dome light works and the visors are excellent. Throughout the entire interior everything looks really sharp: the moldings on the seat, the trim around the inside of the rear window, the armrests etc.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has its original, VIN number matching 455 with W-30 performance options. The heads, exhaust manifolds, aluminum intake, carb and distributor are #s correct too. On top is that big ram air induction system which is complete down to the heat riser tube. It was just serviced with a fresh oil and filter change, adjusted choke and carb. It features power steering and power brakes. Every component looks correct and proper: the squirters are hooked up, booster and hinges are cadmium plated, it has reproduction hose clamps, the rubber flaps are in place on each side of the radiator etc. It's detailed out like new! Also keep in mind the horsepower appears like it dropped in 1972 because they changed the rating from gross to net. Gross hp was 350, only 10 less than the 1970.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are mint, the factory seams are clean. The stickers, weatherstrip, and mat were replaced. Inside the trunk is like a time capsule! The metal is completely rust free and the spatter finish looks like factory. The rally wheel is mint and is wearing a Polyglass tire. The jack assembly is complete down to the original lug wrench!

UNDERSIDE: It looks like a frame off restoration under this 442! It has the rally suspension which includes boxed rear control arms, front and rear swaybars. The steering and suspension looks like it's been rebuilt. The brakes have recently been serviced, it features disc in front and the e-brake assembly is hooked up. It has a nice sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and the trumpet tips exit through the rear bumper. The fuel tank has been replaced. The floors, inner rockers and lower inner 1/4s have no rust, it is all clean metal painted satin black. Looking up at the motor it is painted clean, the starter looks fresh. It has an OW W-30 Turbo 400 automatic trans and in back it has its original rear end with 3.42 posi, code TM.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: Now that I've done my complete inspection and spent time with this car, I am very very impressed. I get the strong impression this has been an unabused car and not only does it look practically new, it functions just as well. This will be a keeper for the next owner!
