Introduction: Just over 700 miles since a complete body off frame,
custom restoration. It has a lot of features that would cost a lot
of money to duplicate like the two-tone paint job, luxurious
interior and a performance big block.
EXTERIOR: The body's been cleaned up by removing the moldings,
emblems and gas cap. A cowl hood was added to give a hint there may
be some muscle sitting below it. Beautiful custom paint job with
black cherry metallic on the bottom, red metallic on top and it's
broken up with a lime pinstripe. The paint scheme even continues in
the jambs. The front bumper is smooth with no bumper bolts or turn
signals, those are now behind the custom grille. The rear chrome
bumper is smoothed out as well. The glass was replaced, the vent
windows were removed for a cleaner one piece glass. It's sitting on
17 inch American Racing five spoke polished wheels wrapped in
performance tires.
INTERIOR: It has a very classy custom upholstery job. The bench
seat, door panels and even the headliner are matching materials
with custom stitching. I like the cup holders built right into the
seat! Dash pads are also upholstered to match. It has a new chrome
instrument bezel which is home to some sharp looking white face
custom gauges. The glovebox door was chromed like a mirror. A retro
stereo fits in the factory location, there are kick panel speakers
delivering your favorite songs. Upgraded Vintage Air heater
controls that have electric slides instead of cables. The walnut
steering wheel is mounted on a chrome tilt column. It has nice
carpet down on the floor with matching floor mats. It was given an
updated wiring system and it even has power windows!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 454 big block built by Tom Hall. It has
rectangular port heads, and Enduarashine intake, dual feed Holley
carb, HEI ignition and coated headers. CVF front runner system with
polished a/c compressor, brackets, pulleys and alternator. Chrome
hydroboost power steering and brakes. An electric water pump
aluminum radiator, dual electric fans keeps it running cool. The
engine bay is smoothed out and painted glossy.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is very impressive, it carries
the same two-tone custom paint as the exterior. The floor is done
in refinished oak with smooth stainless strips. There is the
relocated flush mount fuel cap on the floor too.
UNDERSIDE: It has been body off the frame restored! The suspension
and steering was rebuilt and has upgraded swaybars. The exhaust is
custom stainless with X-Pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and polished
tips. It also has a custom fuel system with a stainless tank.
Upgraded to Wilwood drilled and slotted disc brakes at all four
wheels. Looking up at the motor it has a chrome oil pan and
flywheel cover. The trans is an FTI Performance 700R4 overdrive
stage 3 automatic. A driveshaft leads back to the 12 bolt rear end.
The floors are in outstanding shape, they're sprayed with a color
matched chip guard paint. The chassis has been painted, I see a lot
of new hardware showing.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This isn't your typical restored truck, it was taken
next level making it a show worthy custom. When you're not at the
shows collecting trophies you can be enjoying the power from that
big block and the comforts of the air conditioning!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights.
Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are
interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment
with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an
admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a
car, your admission will be refunded, and you'll receive a one-year
museum membership.
