will be the only Ford GT MK IV in this particular specification. It
is not subject to current U.S. tariffs, current or future, and is

in Scotts Valley, California. The Ford GT MK IV is the ultimate
expression of the Ford GT, limited to 67 examples produced, and is
the final iteration of the fabled supercar.
About the Ford GT MK IV
The Ford GT is one of the names in the automotive world that evokes
emotion without explanation. Winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans,
countless victories, and decades of American automotive bravado can
be tied to that six letter name. With its legacy beginning with the
Ford GT40, revived in the early 2000s, and making its way back to
the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016 and winning on its anniversary, the
Ford GT is synonymous with Ford's winning heritage. It's fitting
then that the last iteration and hurrah, the final chapter of the
Ford GT, culminates with this no-holds-barred and no-rules-apply
race car: The Ford GT MK IV.
The Ford GT MK IV represents the final and ultimate version of the
Ford GT name. Through the partnership between Ford and Multimatic,
the MK IV has been upgraded and continually refined from every
possible angle in order to produce the pinnacle of performance.
Revealed in December of 2022 the MK IV boasted notable improvements
over its predecessors. With Ford announcing that only 67 examples
would be produced, it made the MK IVs exceptionally rare for a very
lucky few.
Demands for more power had Ford turn to Ford's NASCAR partner and
the builder of the Ford GTE racing engines that won the 24 Hours of
Le Mans in 2016, Roush-Yates Engines (RYE). The MK IV engine was
extensively reworked and redesigned that it now shares very little
resemblance to the street car 3.5L V6 Ecoboost or the 3.6L V6
Ecoboost used in the racing cars. Based on the 3rd generation of
the Ford Ecoboost architecture, the displacement has been increased
to 3.8L using a unique bore and stroke. In addition, new
turbochargers, a forged crankshaft, titanium connecting rods and
billet pistons all work together to produce an incredible 800+
horsepower.
To contend with the increased horsepower and provide lightning fast
shifts reliably, even more so than the dual-clutch transmission
used in the GT and MK II, and providing a weight savings, a bespoke
6-speed, dog-engaged Xtrac racing transmission with E-Shift
actuation was employed. Engaged with a 4-plate carbon/carbon clutch
using MEGA-line E-Clutch control, the design also allowed for a
50mm longer wheelbase that helps with weight distribution, improved
rear diffuser efficiency, and greater intercooler airflow.
One of the most iconic and noticeable changes is to the flowing
carbon fiber bodywork of the Ford GT MK IV. With the idea of
performance efficiency in mind, every part of the sculpted
long-tail body and front curved fenders, reminiscent of the 1967 24
Hours of Le Mans-winning Ford GT40 MK IV, was done in the goal of
maximizing performance, allowing Ford and Multimatic to meet
stringent cooling and downforce targets set for the GT. The results
are staggering, producing 2,400 lbs of downforce at 150 miles per
hour, a 33% improvement over the already impressive MK II.
All of the newfound power and downforce required a considerably
retooled configuration of the suspension, now developed around an
18" wheel, identical to the racing version of the Ford GT. This
wheel size accommodates the highest-performance motorsport slick
tyre available. Multimatic's proprietary Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV)
damper has been integrated into the unique push rod/torsion bar
suspension which provides a constantly variable control of the
overall car suspension modes, with the ability to choose the
desirable amount of response. With this new system, the handling
characteristics can be changed directly from inside the cockpit to
each driver's tastes, allowing for simpler and more refined
handling setting selection. Carbon ceramic brakes reduce unsprung
mass in each corner and provide immense stopping power beyond any
previous Ford GT.
Each Ford GT MK IV is offered inclusive of a track day
introduction, complete with data engineers, vehicle technicians,
Ford Performance drivers for instruction (if required), full
catering and technical presentations at one of a number of
world-renowned race tracks. Post-event maintenance will also be
provided as a part of the inclusive package.
