Porsche introduced a new model of the classic 911 in 1989 with the
code designation of 964. It featured significant mechanical and
styling enhancements to previous models. The 964 model was sold
through 1994 and was badged Carrera 2 or Carrera 4 (2WD/AWD). This
1-owner 1993 Carrera 2 Cabriolet was special-ordered with a unique
exterior/interior color combination. It has always been garaged in
North Carolina and has been very well cared for. The distinctive
Midnight Blue Metallic (F8) finish maintains a fine luster and
accents include
halogen headlights, fog lights and factory 16" 5-spoke alloys that
mount Michelin performance radials. The luxurious light grey
leather interior is in outstanding condition. Creature comforts and
safety features include climate control A/C, power driver seat,
power tinted windows, analog gauges, power locks, dual airbags and
a Pioneer AM/FM/CD sound system. The dark blue convertible top is
power operated and fits snuggly. Porsche's naturally aspired SOHC
flat-6 (M64) displaces 3.6L and produces 247 bhp. The high-revving
engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual rear transaxle w/traction
control. Power steering and ABS power disc brakes w/ventilated
11.7" discs are standard. The design of the 964 included a revised
suspension configuration that eliminated the traditional 911
torsion bars and added front MacPherson struts and rear coil-over
shocks/trailing arms. An electric rear spoiler will also raise at
speeds above 50 mph and lower flush with the rear engine lid at
slower speeds. This handsome Porsche Carrera 2 is a beautiful
example of the 964 model and it will sell quickly. ALL VEHICLES
SOLD "AS IS".
