Here is one very original numbers-matching 1972 Chevrolet Monte
Carlo. This muscle car has been well taken care of with plenty of
new parts replaced or added for maintenance. New front and rear
bumpers look great against the Pewter Silver paint. The stock rally
wheels keep the Monte's look and stance exceptionally original. The
glass, fenders, doors, quarter panels, deck lid, and roof are all
very straight with little to no imperfections. What you have here
is a super low-maintenance cruiser and trophy winner.
The interior is also stock in appearance and nearly spotless. The
black cloth bucket seats are comfortable and flawless, front and
back. The door panels, carpet, and headliner all look excellent.
The dashboard is in great shape, and the stock-looking gauges are
very clear and easy to read. Heat and air conditioning controls are
located to the left, and a new retro AM/FM-style radio with
Bluetooth sits just below. Finding a flaw in this interior is a
tough task-it carries the same show-winning detail as the
exterior.
The engine bay is another highlight of this muscle car. The 350
cubic-inch engine is painted Chevy Orange. It remains mostly
original-looking, neat, and very much like it would have appeared
in the 1970s as it rolled off the assembly line, aside from the air
cleaner cover upgrade. Power is delivered through a TH350 3-speed
automatic transmission connected to a 10-bolt rear axle.
Suspension duties are handled by front control arms with coil
springs and new UCA ball joints, while the rear uses trailing arms
with coil springs, shocks, and a sway bar. New power front disc
brakes are paired with new power rear drum brakes. Bolted on all
four corners are OEM 15-inch rally wheels wrapped in new 235/60R15
TA radials. A new dual exhaust system with aftermarket mufflers
delivers that authentic V8 sound.
