Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this killer 2008
Bullitt Mustang. Ever since Bill Hickman's black '68 Charger chased
Steve McQueen's '68 GT Mustang though the streets of San Francisco,
the automotive world has never been the same. Eleven minutes of
nonstop burnouts, powershifting, and power slides changed the
American car culture forever. Ford brought the Bullitt back in
2001, but the car was basically just a respray. In 2008, FoMoCo
revisited the idea and this time made the Mustang a bit more
correct to what McQueen envisioned originally with his stripped
down GT. Only 4,377 '08 Bullitt's were built in the iconic Highland
Green color. When the car came out, Motorweek stated, "This '08
Bullitt combines vintage style and modern performance in a package
that's truly worthy of the Bullitt name." The 4.6l originally
produced 315hp and 325ft of tongue, but this Bullitt is high
caliber. The consigner states just a few thousand miles ago, the
4.6 mill was pulled, stroked, and fitted with forged internals and
one rowdy cam. The chop of the cam, Kooks headers, and Magnaflow
mufflers combine to belt out an exhaust note far superior to the
movie car even with sound dubbing. In the pictures you'll notice a
Zex Nitrous system, however, the owner states he has never filled
the bottle. If Lieutenant Frank Bullitt had this car back in the
day, that pesky black Charger wouldn't have stood a chance! This
2008 Ford Bullitt Mustang is listed by our Tampa Showroom and can
