Late-sixties style Camaros and convertibles go together
perfectly-just look at this 1967 Camaro SS 350 Tribute Convertible.
Nothing fancy, because it doesn't need anything fancy. It's a
smooth-looking, low-key cruiser that speaks for itself. The
Butternut Yellow paint job is soothing and pairs beautifully with
the black vinyl convertible top. The wheels are correct for the
year and match well with the very nice chrome bumpers. The
Bumblebee stripe in the front aligns with the hood vents, front
grille, and lower rear spoiler to make this a very
well-put-together SS tribute.
The interior is mostly stock in appearance, finished in vinyl. The
seats are in decent shape, as are the door panels, center console,
dashboard, and carpet. The gauge cluster is in stock configuration
and very clean, easy to read, with three additional gauges located
under the radio, which are also originally in their correct
location. The radio appears original, with AM/FM/Cassette, and
above it are the heat and defrost controls. Beneath the dashboard
is an easy-to-reach switch that operates the convertible top.
Under the hood sits a painted Chevy Orange 350 cubic-inch V8,
featuring Chevrolet chrome valve covers, a chrome-plated air
cleaner cover, and an Edelbrock intake. An aluminum radiator with
dual electric fans keeps the engine cool. A Muncie M20 4-speed
manual transmission sends power to a 10-bolt rear axle.
The front suspension features coil springs, shocks, and a sway bar,
while the rear relies on leaf springs and a sway bar.
Period-correct 14-inch Camaro OEM rims are wrapped in 225/75R15
tires. Stopping power comes from front disc brakes and rear drum
brakes, while dual exhaust with aftermarket mufflers delivers a
great sound.
