How can one describe a Big Block Coupe in a rare color, factory equipped with 16 options, also, solid ownership back to 1972, with 58K original miles and a "Top Flight" Chapter judging.
That is exactly what we are pleased to bring to your attention today, a 1966 Mosport Green 427/390 Coupe with the Dark Green interior. This is a"Brass Hat" Coupe - St. Louis build November 1965, real side pipe car. Options include:

History.
This Corvette was ordered directly by and for use by Chevrolet Motor Division – Typical as a GM executive demo, GM show car, GM, special events car. It was shipped directly from St Louis to Chevrolet Motor Division, Detroit, Michigan as documented by the NCRS GM Shipping Document service report.
It was purchased by present owner as an unrestored survivor in 2018 and commissioned a body off, NCRS correct restoration of the complete chassis, suspension, drivetrain, cooling/heating, electrical systems, transistor ignition/distributor system, and factory R12 AC System (Dom Tallarita restored the original A6 Compressor). Retains the early 1966 “slant top” condenser.
As detailed in the exterior photos, the stance is perfect factory standard, accomplished by retaining the original restored springs front and rear.
The interior remains ALL original, including dash (no cracks or damage), carpets, seats, seatbelts, door panels, headliner etc. Gauges and clock operate as designed. The body retains all its original factory body panels and bonding strips, along with all original glass. Carpets are all original and have not been redyed. Jack Board is original with original labels. Seats are excellent original with no cracks, splits or damage. Glove box exterior and interior excellent original condition complete with original label.
The glove box contents includes the original 1966 1st edition owners manual, plastic pouch, unassigned POP booklet plus reproduction radio operating instructions and window sticker. 1966 GM Michigan Manufactures plates included with the sale. Includes key set with knockouts intact along with a duplicate set with knockouts removed. Keys correctly operate ignition, glove box, door and spare locks as designed.
The paint was left untouched preserving the previous Mosport Green color respray circa 1998. Body has never been stripped.
The Corvette is fitted with correct reproduction Goodyear Goldline bias ply tires matching its original Goldline spare which is dated October 1965. Wheels/tires are precision balanced with original Micro “wings” weights on inside.
The Coupe performs as new and is extremely tight and reliable. The engine starts, runs and stops as new having approximately 2000 total miles since the restoration. The L36 427/390 is a real torque monster making enthusiastic street driving an exhilarating experience throughout its broad flat tourque curve. Clutch, transmission and differential are smooth, crisp and precise. Power windows are swift, silent and precise as are the headlight doors. First time judged it scored 98 point Top Flight June 2021 at a Chapter event staffed both local and national judges. NCRS shipping record plus owner documentation back to 1985 so far with California DMV proof of California registration to 1972. Winner the prestigious Greenwich Concours Corvette C2 Class Award.
