This 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is powered by a 5.7-liter 405hp
LS6 V8 engine linked to a 6-speed manual transmission utilizing a
short-throw shifter and limited-slip differential. The LS6 engine
was based upon the contemporary LS1 and features a refined aluminum
block, a higher-lift cam shaft, a 10.5:1 compression ratio, and
increased air and oil flow. This C5 Z06 was only offered as a
fixed-roof coupe for increased chassis stiffness. Aftermarket
headers and exhaust paired with a carbon-fiber intake allows this
LS6 to breath more efficiently. This Z06 features mesh grille
inserts and PIAA factory fog lights, as well as weight-saving
features such as thinner glass and reduced sound-deadening. New
Continental Sport tires wrap factory chrome wheels. The black
leather interior features a dual-zone climate control, cruise
control, head-up display, a power-adjustable driver's seat and a
Bose stereo system. Recent services and modifications feature a
carbon-fiber steering wheel, AGM battery, sun visor replacements,
LED side markers and Dragonfire taillights, and a third brake light
equipped with a module to stop the hyper-flashing, a ZR1-style lip
spoiler, stubby antenna, a VMS lowering kit, new clear front turn
signals, new exhaust, and new driver- and passenger-side window
control switches. During the thorough engine restoration, APR cam
bolts, knock sensors and the wiring harness were replaced, and new
fuel injector O-rings and injectors were cleaned. It also has a new
AC Delco crank balancer and bolt, water pump and camshaft position
sensor, as well as new stainless-steel intake bolts, all-new AC
Delco hoses and new spark plugs. This service also included an oil
change, new tie-rod ends, and a radiator, clutch and brake fluid
flush. ** PREVIEW
