This 1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner 2-door coupe is powered by a
Z-code 390ci V8 engine mated to a dealer-installed 4-speed manual
transmission with a floor-mounted shifter. The aerodynamic fastback
design was originally created by Ford to race in NASCAR, and the
Starliner name was a reference to JFK's race to space, with the
taillights mimicking jet afterburners. Originally equipped with a
3-speed manual transmission, it is one of 29,669 Starliners
produced for 1961. The car was also delivered with a Holley
4-barrel carburetor on a Ford intake. The trunk has a factory
liner, as well as a spare tire and jack. The radio is not currently
operational. ** PREVIEW
