For Sale at Auction: 1964 Buick Skylark in Scottsdale, Arizona

Presented in Marlin Blue, this 1964 Buick Skylark custom convertible is powered by a 300ci V8 engine mated to a BorgWarner T10 4-speed manual transmission. This example underwent a complete frame-off restoration. The frame was sandblasted and powder-coated, with new frame mounts installed. The body was taken to bare metal, the floors and firewall were sandblasted, and sections of the floor and trunk floor were replaced. The carburetor and alternator have been rebuilt, and a new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing were installed. Suspension upgrades include new bushings in the A-arms and rear trailing arms, new ball joints, control-arm bushings, tie rod ends, idler arm, shocks and new 1-5/16-inch front and 1-inch rear sway bars. A new power steering box, pump, hoses and rag joint were installed, providing 3.5 turns lock to lock. The heater box was also disassembled and rebuilt. The braking system has been updated with new front disc brakes, a dual master cylinder and booster, new rear drums and shoes, and new brake and fuel lines. Powder-coated components include the A-arms, sway bars, trailing arms, radiator support, inner fenders and bumper brackets. The vehicle received a primer coat throughout. Exterior upgrades include a new gas tank and sending unit, new radiator and hoses, and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. A new Midnight Blue convertible top was installed with new hydraulic cylinders, motor, well liner and convertible boot. Interior features include a new white leather interior with seats and door panels, new Buick floor mats, new carpet. rebuilt steering column and a Hurst shifter. A new custom Autosound AM/FM radio with USB connectivity powers new front and rear speakers. Additional features include new trunk, door, window and top weatherstripping, new tinted side glass and a new steering wheel. The vehicle is equipped with a new dual 2.25-inch exhaust system and new Walker mufflers. A brake warning light has been mounted under the dash on the lower left side. The vehicle rides on five new 15x8 GM Rally wheels powder-coated in Laser Blue and wrapped in 235/60R15 Cooper Cobra GT tires. ** PREVIEW
