This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was refurbished in 2006-2007, while work in 2014 involved repainting the body in LeMans Blue with black stripes as well as installing a cowl hood and a power-operated black convertible top. Power is provided by a replacement 350ci V8 with an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, and MSD ignition components, and the four-speed manual transmission is linked to a 12-bolt rear end with a limited-slip differential. Inside, front bucket seats are trimmed in black and accompanied by a center console and an aftermarket digital stereo unit. Additional equipment includes power windows, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 15″ Rally wheels with chrome trim. This Camaro convertible is now offered with refurbishment records (see pictures) and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body was refinished in LeMans Blue with black stripes in 2014, and it features a power-operated black convertible top as well as an aftermarket cowl hood, front and rear spoilers, and chrome bumpers and wheel-arch moldings.
The 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl along with coordinated carpeting and door panels. Interior appointments include an aftermarket digital stereo unit, power windows, and a center console with woodgrain trim.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a set of AutoMeter gauges consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 3,300 miles have been added since the build.
The replacement 350ci V8 is topped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and a Holley Street Avenger four-barrel carburetor. The seller reports the engine is from a 1970 model and features four-bolt main caps, and the “double-hump” cylinder heads are fitted with 2.02″ intake and 1.6″ exhaust valves. A Summit Racing ignition control module is installed along with a Holley air cleaner lid and Chevrolet-branded chrome valve covers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a 3.73:1 Positraction differential. An underbody chassis brace has been installed, and coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system.
