INTRODUCTION: Body off frame, rotisserie restored! Doesn't it look
great? That stance, and colors are perfect. It's also a power house
too! This is a genuine Bel Air V8 car built in California.
EXTERIOR: The stance on this car is awesome! It looks aggressive,
which is not misleading, it is aggressive! The body is straight and
fits right, the doors shut like new. The paint is polished like a
mirror. The chrome and trim looks like it has been replaced. It
features bumper guards, door handle protectors and dual mirrors.
The weatherstrips and glass look great too. Upgraded with halogen
headlights, LED tail lights and third brake light. It rolls on a
set of 18 inch American Racing wheels wrapped in performance tires,
they are extra wide in the back!
INTERIOR: This red interior really pops! The upholstery was
obviously done professionally, everything fits nice and is cleanly
stitched. The seats are nice and firm, the side panels, headliner
and visors are upholstered to match and all in excellent shape. On
the floor it has premium tight loop carpet, new seat belts and a
Hurst 4-speed shifter! Under the carpet is lined with sound
deadener. The metal trim was painted gloss black. The dash has
polished billet trim with white face AutoMeter gauges and a SunPro
super Tach on the tilt column. It has an original looking steering
with a smaller diameter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 413-595hp engine built by Apex Competition
Engines. A complete detailed build sheet is included. They started
with a World Products Motown II 400 race block, added AFR aluminum
heads and an Edelbrock RPM air gap intake that was port matched.
Internally it has a Callies Dragonslayer crank, Lunati roller cam,
Comp roller lifters and rockers, 11.3:1 Diamond forged pistons, and
more. Finished off with a Quick Fuel BDQ 850 carb with premium fuel
lines, fittings, filter and regulator. A set of Doug's headers
flank each side. An MSD ignition system provides the lighting! It's
dressed nicely in cast aluminum valve covers and air cleaner. The
front of the motor has billet brackets, alternator and pulleys with
a serpentine belt. Features include power steering and power
brakes. A BeCool aluminum radiator, aluminum water pump and
overflow tank along with a big chrome fan keeps it running cool.
The metal surfaces are painted nicely and all the components were
installed nicely too.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid, the jamb and inside is
painted gloss black. The battery was relocated to the trunk and has
a master disconnect switch. Complete with a jack and spare
assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and flipped on a rotisserie
for a thorough restoration. The underbody is clean metal painted
semi gloss black. The frame and chassis components were prepped and
painted semi gloss black too. The suspension and steering was
completely rebuilt. Upfront it has a CPP steering box, Viking
double adjustable gas shocks, Heidts drop spindles and swaybar. In
back it has Calvert 9 way adjustable gas shocks, traction bars and
performance mono leaf springs. Big fat exhaust with x-pipe, Dynamax
mufflers and electric cut outs. Upgraded Wilwood brake system with
drilled and slotted disc at all four wheels, 6 piston calipers in
front and a custom e-brake. Replaced fuel system including a
polished tank. Looking up at the motor it has an extra capacity oil
pan and a high torque starter. There's a heavy duty Lakewood
scatter shield bolted to the rebuilt Muncie 4-speed with a
hydraulic clutch. A custom aluminum drive shaft leads back to a
narrowed Currie 9 inch rear with 4.11 posi gears.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This 55 has the "IT" factor! I'm sitting looking at it
right now and just keep thinking "damn that's hot". What would I
change? NOTHING!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
