West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional
barn-fresh (garage really!) find of this original southern
California all original 1977 Datsun 280Z 2 Door 5 speed manual
Coupe apart from one very good quality repaint in its original
'Light Blue Metallic' Color Code 305 color paint, 5 speed manual
transmission, rare working factory air conditioning in the highly
desirable rare 2 seat coupe body-style (not 2+2)!The Datsun 280Z
was built between the years 1975-78 and was the latest incarnation
of the 240/260Z with the 240Z having been voted by 'Sports Car
International' the number two car on the list of the 'Top Sports
Cars of the 1970's'!One of the most appealing Japanese cars ever
produced, unfortunately they have largely disappeared from the
roads almost entirely due to insurmountable rust issues of all the
Japanese cars of this era making this 1977 model all the more rare
and unusual in its completely rust free and original condition! The
260Z had a longer stroke of 2.6L from its predecessors and and this
particular example is the rarer and much more desirable 2 seat
coupe version with a notably different and more attractive
roof-line from the less desirable 2+2 models. This car also had the
desirable 5 speed manual transmission and factory air
conditioning! This is a beautiful stock example with it's original
engine and with all of it's original factory specifications and
options intact including original 'Light Blue Metallic' color paint
and Black vinyl interior! The odometer reads 42,930 miles but is
believed to have turned over once as it read 9,234 miles when our
physical records begin and when smogged in 10/2009 and has been
consistent through all the years for the the records on file since
that time. From looking at these extensive service records it is
clear that at no time was any expense spared on this particular
cars preventive maintenance, literally thousands and thousands of
dollars spent on anything even remotely required to be attended to
over the last 16 years. All original owner's handbook, thick file of
service records and recent CA smog certificate. The car has a razor
straight body with no signs of any accidents, and super rare for
these early Japanese cars, no bondo or rust! This is a rare
opportunity to own a very rare and internationally desirable 1977
legendary Datsun 280Z 2 seat coupe model - owned by obviously only
mature southern California owners since new with the highly
desirable 5 speed manual transmission and air conditioning!
