This 1968 Chevrolet 3-Door Suburban blends vintage styling with
modern upgrades, making it a rare classic with everyday
drivability. Finished in a striking gold and white exterior over a
tan interior, this Suburban has been tastefully restored and
thoughtfully upgraded. Power comes from a rebuilt 6.0L LS engine
with factory fuel injection, paired with a rebuilt 4L80E
transmission and a 2200 stall converter, delivering both
reliability and performance. A BTR cam adds extra power, while
hydroboost brakes, a new Borgeson steering box, and a new posi rear
end with 3.73 gears ensure confident handling and control.
Inside, the Suburban is outfitted with Dakota Digital gauges, a
custom-built floor shift, an Ididit tilt column, Vintage Air for
modern climate control, and a Custom Auto Sound stereo for
period-correct looks with modern function. It also features
three-row seating, making it as practical as it is stylish. The
rear has been set up for camping with airbag pulling capability,
while a set of 20-inch wheels give it a commanding stance on the
road.
The Chevrolet Suburban holds the distinction of being the
longest-running automotive nameplate in history, first introduced
in
1935 as a practical people hauler. By 1968, the Suburban had become
a favorite for families and businesses alike, thanks to its unique
three-door design-two doors on the passenger side and one on the
driver's side for safer curbside loading. Today, these classic
three-door Suburbans are increasingly sought after for their
rarity, utility, and unmistakable style, making this example a true
collector's piece with modern upgrades that enhance its performance
and usability.
