Provenance includes delivery new to McCafferty Ford in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, in September 1962, confirmed by the factory-issued Gate Release when it left Ford Motor Company's exclusive Wixom, Michigan Thunderbird assembly plant. The Thunderbird was Mrs. McCafferty's personal and highly prized personal vehicle. Finished in factory-specified Heritage Burgundy paint over correct Pearl Beige Metallic upholstery, the Thunderbird is graced by painstakingly and correctly restored interior and exterior trim, plus correctly re-plated and refinished hardware throughout the vehicle. An added Sports Roadster rear tonneau, five original 48-spoke Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels, and optional rear-fender skirts lend additional grace.
