Introduction: This Pro Touring Chevelle has it all, and it's a
convertible! Frame off restoration with so many upgrades. It's even
a real Super Sport, designated right in the VIN.
EXTERIOR: Wow, this body is a mirror on wheels! It is literally
laser beam straight from every angle. The gaps are square and
flush, it is dressed up with a cowl hood too. Repainted in 2019,
you can read a book in the reflection. All of the chrome and trim
is straight and shiny. It has optional dual bowtie mirrors and the
rear mounted antenna. You'll notice up front there are screens
where the high beams would be, that's because it has air induction
fed right into the motor. The black convertible top is in excellent
shape. The windshield and seals were replaced. It sits real pretty
on a set of 18 inch polished Budnik wheels with performance
tires.
INTERIOR: $8,000 custom interior that blends vintage with modern.
The bucket seats have been re-bolstered for a comfortable feel. The
seats and door panels have been custom upholstered and have
Alcantara trim. The dash pad was custom upholstered, it has a
carbon fiber looking instrument panel with a full set of Autometer
gauges. A panel was fabricated below the dash for the stereo, any
black metal is painted like glass. The factory console was
reupholstered and updated with the overdrive shift indicator.
$6,000 stereo system includes a Bluetooth stereo, 4 speakers, a
500w amp and 12 inch subwoofer. The power window conversion makes
life a little easier. It also has a deluxe wheel on a tilt column.
Seatbelts were added front and back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a hood up car at any show, it's
beautiful! That's a 6.2L Cadillac motor, performance built by Bob
Phelps Motorsports with L92 heads, and a custom fabricated intake
by Wilson's manifolds. It also features a billet throttle body,
stainless headers and a polished stainless ram air intake tube and
box. Upgraded high flow fuel rails and injectors, premium fuel
lines and fittings. Nearly all of the hardware is polished and it
has beautiful finned faux valve covers from billet Billet
Specialties covering the coil packs. A big aluminum radiator and
shroud with an electric fan and AN fittings with stainless braided
hoses keeps it cool. The firewall is smooth and everything that
isn't polished aluminum is painted gloss black. New Hydroboost
power brakes and steering system. The Vintage Air system has a
polished compressor. I'm a huge fan of the billet hinges!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb is painted
slick. Inside is completely boxed and upholstered with hidden
compartments. That's where you'll find the battery and stereo
equipment. The floor is carpeted.
UNDERSIDE: The steering and suspension was rebuilt, new steering
box. It has been upgraded with C4 Corvette disc brakes at all four
wheels, front aluminum spindles, braided rated hoses, new stainless
lines and a custom e-brake assembly. Upgraded stainless steel fuel
tank. One of a kind custom-made Stainless Works exhaust system with
X-Pipe and MagnaFlow mufflers. Looking up at the motor it has an
extra capacity oil pan and a high torque starter. A new 4L60E
overdrive automatic transmission was installed this year; it has a
remote oil cooler. In back it has a 10 bolt rear end with 3.73 posi
gear. It's clean, painted and proper under this car.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This is a muscle car with class! Tear up the streets
while you sit in comfort. What's not to love?
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights.
Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are
interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment
with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an
admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a
car, your admission will be refunded, and you'll receive a one-year
museum membership.
