The 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 is a durable full size pickup
with a powerful engine, available with a standard 5.2L V8 or
optional 5.9L V8, offering a comfortable ride and capable off road
performance. Key features include a 6 person seating capacity,
standard 4 wheel drive for increased traction, and available
features like a limited slip differential and off road
suspension
For auction, a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 short bed pickup
truck presented in fairly rough condition, clean seats, and some
potential. The truck has no keys associated with it.
Exterior
White paint is augmented by a black rocker strobe stripe, perhaps a
nod to Mopar's muscle car days. The prominent grille and low
flanking headlights were characteristically Dodge in this era and
along with the big chrome bumper, is present and undamaged. The
rear bumper, more prone to accumulating moisture, rotted out while
the right rear bedside was side swiped long ago and now shows some
rust and a smashed rear tail light lens. The rear doors of the quad
cab have internal door handles so the outside fits smoothly behind
the main cabin doors. 16-inch steel wheels carry LT rated tires in
a definite 4x4 stance.
Interior
Both molded plastic door panels are in good shape with some fading
and general dirt, but fully intact. Inside, gray cloth bucket seats
occupy the front with a third seat in the middle that doubles as a
work surface or armrest and all present in good condition. Gray
cloth also covers the straight bench in the back which folds up to
create storage space. Up front, the dash is missing its surrounding
piece as well as the steering column's plastic shield. Most
componentry is in place including the AM/FM radio. The center
console includes a cupholder and the transfer case shifter is floor
mounted on a surface that is covered with a rubber mat.
Drivetrain
Under the hood is a dusty but mostly complete looking 5.9 liter
Magnum V8, fuel injected and rated at 245 horsepower. It's tied to
a 4-speed automatic transmission that can split power between front
and rear Dana 44 axles, both with 3.54 gears.
Undercarriage
A single exhaust wears a stock style muffler and power brakes are
divided as front disc and rear drum. Suspension on this big truck
includes coil spring and radius arms up front and leaf springs in
the back.
Drive-Ability
There are no keys associated with this truck.
