INTRODUCTION: Body off frame, rotisserie restoration. The legendary
L78 motor with a 4-speed and a posi will take you right back to the
muscle car era!
EXTERIOR: This is a high quality fit and finish. The body was off
the frame, stripped down and flipped on a rotisserie so it could be
worked from every angle. The result is laser straight panels that
fit precisely. Repainted its original Cortez silver, the tiny
metallic is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like
glass. The stripes are even smooth to the touch. It looks like at
the time of restoration they replaced all of the chrome and trim
including bumpers, moldings, mirrors, handles, emblems etc. The
weatherstrips and seals were also replaced. It has T3 reproduction
headlamps. It is sitting pretty on a set of reproduction Wide Oval
tires that actually have radial technology. They are wrapped around
new 15 inch chrome SS wheels.
INTERIOR: Pretty much looks new from floor to ceiling. It does have
fresh looking carpet that fits real nice and some embroidered mats,
a nice set of original seat belts and the best part of all is the
4-speed sticking out of the hump! The seats have been
reupholstered, door panels and armrests were replaced. The
headliner, visors and mirror look like new. The entire dash area is
clean: the instrument panel, dash pad and steering wheel were
replaced. Upgraded with a hot rod style tachometer on the column,
oil and temp gauges below the dash. It also has a retro stereo,
it's hands free with auxiliary plugs.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That is a completely rebuilt 396-375 hp L-78
motor! It features the high compression pistons, hotter cam,
rectangular port heads matched to a GM aluminum intake. It is
upgraded with a set of hooker headers and electronic ignition
inside the factory cap. It has reproduction spark plug wires, valve
covers and air cleaner. The brackets and pulleys are painted
nicely. Most components were replaced: alternator, fuel pump, wiper
motor etc. It features power steering and power brakes which has a
cadmium plated booster. It is complete: squirters are hooked up,
the horns work, it has hood insulation and the plastic grilled on
the cowl. It has reproduction GM hoses, hose clamps and spring
clamp battery cables. All the metal surfaces are painted very
nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb is literally
painted as slick as the outside. Inside is really clean metal with
a very neatly applied spatter finish. It has a reproduction mat,
weatherstrip and stickers. Complete with a jack and spare assembly,
it also has a $350 car cover included.
UNDERSIDE: The body was lifted off of the frame and flipped on a
rotisserie so the floors could easily be prepped and painted like
new. Zero rust, all clean braces and inner rockers etc.The frame
and chassis components were sandblasted and then powder coated. The
brake system was gone through, it has factory disc in front and
drum in back. The e-brake cables and brake lines were replaced. It
has a dual exhaust system with stainless dumps, factory style
mufflers and SS chrome tips. The fuel system was replaced including
the tank. Looking up at the motor it is clean Chevy, the factory
type starter was replaced. It has a correct 1969 M20 Muncie 4-speed
with a Hurst linkage. It looks like an aluminum drive shaft leads
back to the rebuilt 12 bolt rear end with 3.55 posi.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Now that I've inspected the car and looked at the
documentation I am even more impressed. The fit and finishes
throughout are exceptional!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
